The RIC Football Club has been set up to provide a safe, nurturing and fun platform for our youth who are passionate about football. It is a non-for-profit project run entirely by volunteers.
The ethos of the club encompasses success both on and off the field of play. It is equally important that members achieve personal and social goals as well as sporting.
We aim to instil a sense of ambition, self-belief, mutual respect, discipline and unconditional brotherhood.
The Club is open to player of any ability between the ages of 6-18 years. We have a Junior Team (under 12) and a Senior Team (Over 12) and each team is entered for a match against other local football clubs once a month.
Each weekly session will consist of fitness training, technical drills, an Islamic reminder and a match.
The club also organises trips to team activity centres, which typically take place during end of term breaks. Recent trips included activities such as paintballing, rock climbing, canoe building, tunnelling and team challenges.
The club was set up in August 2013 and has now grown to having more than 50 registered players.
Our teams take part in local matches and tournaments versus other mosque teams. The junior team won a tournament of over 200 kids which took place in April between teams from Ilford and Seven Kings.
The RIC Football Club is a project of Redbridge Islamic Centre.”
